About Me
Welcome!
Lakehouse Felting was founded through my love of art and creating artwork!. I have always loved painting landscapes, now I create them with wool instead of paint.
One of the services offered is pet portraits, I work with the owner to create a portrait that captures the feeling and personality of the pet. On the website you will see examples of the portraits I have done and testimonials from their owners!
Nate's Woodland Animals! It started with an Owl!
My grandson loves animals, I create a series of ornaments I call Nate's Woodland Animals. These feature the animals that my grandson loves so much; ready to hang on your Christmas tree.It started with an owl and grows each year! I have added Mugs and prints to Nate's collection.
At Lakehouse Felting,I offer a range of workshops and kits designed for all skill levels. Teaching is one of my passions and the class or kit focus is on felting techniques that foster creativity and self-expression. The classes are offered in studio at Dartmouth, NS or On line.

I have two pieces done by Gail for me. Gail was easy to work with and completed both ahead of time. The colors are perfect and she even captured the personality of the cat I asked her to do from a photo. I’m very pleased with Gail’s work and will be getting more of her art for some wedding gifts.

This is the picture that will be on mugs
OWL in the wood. This picture is 100%wool felted on wool felt. Photo taken in the woods behind U of Vic's student housing. I loved the way the sun cast such a warm glow on everything. I was lucky to catch this photo before the owl flew into the woods.
